The New Season.
Riverview v Owls A
This was the first game of the season for us in the new leauge.
The game started off well with Riverview passing the ball around the pitch very well, out playing Owls by far. Then the first
goal came with James Windsor conecting with the ball on his head from a lovely cross from Gleen. 1-0. The second goal came
soon when another corner suplied by Gleen again and meet by Josh who's head blasted the ball home. 2-0.
Half Time 2-0
Coming out from the half time we were 2-0 up and defently
deserved to be ahead. All we had to do was keep it up...spoke to soon, Owls came back almost straight after the break scoring
to make it 2-1. Riverview still had the game in the bag at this stage until, Owls again took there chance and slotted another
goal home. 2-2. Not deserving to be drawing Riverview had to make sure they didn't let another goal in. 5 minutes to the end
and Owls got there third goal. The first shot saved by Llyod then cleared off the line by Scott and then luckly crept in on
the third at attempt.

Riverview v Real Gima
The toughist game that Riverview could play this season. With Real Gima not dropping a single
point throughout this whole year this wasn't going to be easy. The game started and the team were up for the challenge and
belived they could beat them. With around 15 minutes gone Gima took the lead, it couldn't be stopped. We came close to troubling
the goal keeper but nothing came of it. Then Gima scored their 2nd goal of the day.
Half Time 0-2
Half time and Riverview felt that they hadn't played badly, just Gima were too advance
in skill then us. With this in our minds Riverview knew what they had to do. Second half started well for Riverview with us
playing the better football. Then the goal came, a through ball from Dan Wotton, was chased by James Weston who was beaten
by the defender but fortunately for us the defender passed the ball back to the keeper and he picked up. Free kick given. Dan Wotton stepped
up, hit it on his laces at full power, skimmed off a Gima head and straight in the top of the net. Riverview
were back in it. 2-1 the score. It wasn't long till Riverview got thier second. Nick Turton caring and
injury was taken off for James Windsor. James picked the ball up for a throw and with his long throw, threw it in to James
Weston who jumped, was beaten to it but feel right in front of Dan Wotton who lashed the ball to the far
post and scored. 2-2, Riverview pulled it right back. With 5 minutes to go Riverview were looking to hold the draw. But James
Weston had better ideas. A through ball from Llyod was chased by Weston, he picked it up 30 yards out
n ran into the box to slot home the third goal for Riverview. 3-2 the score and we pulled this right back and took an unsuspecting
lead, the celebration's were mad, with players and mangers also the crowed were jumping for joy. With 1 minute to go Riverview
surely had this game won. To early to think about that the ball was picked up by Gima and was hit and crept in the far post.
3-3. With the game finishing 3-3 Riverview were disapointed that they didn't win but took the draw as a great achievement. Gima dropped their first
points of this whole season and Riverview were the first to do it.

Riverview v Guru Nanak
After the week we had against Gima, Riverview felt they could beat anyone. Guru's were the next to face
us. Going into the game we knew we were up for a win. First half started where we left off against Gima. 10 minutes in and
Riverview had the ball in the back of the net. A smashing shot 30 yards out from Dan Wotton was saved by the goalkeeper but
a great follow up from James Weston saw Riverview take the lead. From kick-off Guru Nanak picked the ball up ran half
the pitch to score, making it 1-1. With 5 minutes till the break, James Weston picked the ball up 30 yards out,
pushed it onto his right foot and let one leash, smashing it in the bottom corner. 2-1.
Half Time 2-1
With Riverview leading at the break again we knew waht happened against Owls A and couldn't let it happen
again. The second half started and Riverview kept the ball well. With 15 minutes left Guru's scored, it was a big blow to
us as we had been missing many chances all match. Now we had to score again. But Guru's beat us to it. The same happend again
that happend against Owls A. With the first shot saved, the second off the line, the third in. Guru's got that goal.

Riverview v Owls A
We meet Owls A again. With the last match being a disappointment for us we were determined to get our own back.
The match started off a bad one. Owls scored with a run which
couldn't be stopped. After this quick goal score by Owls we had
to get another goal. But it woudn't fall into the goal, a header from Nick Turton our best chance, but
went just over.
Half Time 0-1
The second half we came out and played
some great football. We manged to win a corner. Dan Wotton was to take it, he curled it in and Nick jumped above all the rest
to header the ball into the back of the net. A great goal completed with a great, well put together celebration. (Aicha the
dance was called) With us drawing level we controlled the rest of the game coming close sevaral times. But the Ball woudn't
go in again the game finished 1-1.
